During my last two years of travelling, I have stumbled on to many random and crazy events, including a few medieval festivals. One such festival was Jousting at Eltham Palace just outside of London. So one of my photographic projects has been to publish a photo essay in JPG Magazine for this. Have a look at the Photo Essay here, vote for me, comment and all that good stuff. I want to get published.
But here is a taste of the action.
November, is without a doubt my favourite month. December you get ready from Christmas and summer, January is the get back to life month. But just recently I realised to my surprise that February is a month of Awesome.
Not only is it summer, and a good time for beers, its a short month. But if you are in Canberra, February holds two of the best things on the Canberra Events Calendar. The Multicultural Festival and Tropfest.
So get out in it!

I have been to Rodeo’s, ice hockey, football and even watched some hurling, but a rollerderby can compete on the physical level of all of those. What is also true is that looks are also important in this sport. It could definitely be my next big spectator sport in addition to the ice hockey.
Look out for Whip It, the rollerderby movie.
If you get a chance I would recommend going to a game if you get a chance.
