The weekend is here….
lukeo01 | November 13, 2009I have new sexy sneakers, a $1000 bar tab and a brand new moutain board.
I am entirely satisfied that my weekend is going to be brilliant!
Now thats a tequila…..
lukeo01 | August 3, 2009A few months back, a great friend of mine came to visit. Along with him came a bottle of tequila. Needless to say that I like the way my friend rolled. However, the thought of tequila brought back quite a few bad memories and even saying the words makes me feel like I just had a slammer. We didn’t get the bottle open whilst he was visiting which is a shame, but the last week I have cracked the top.
So it ends out he bought Anejo Patron tequila. This tequila is not the El Torro or Coyote tequila the more resembles paint stripper, nor my previous favourite TQ Hot tequila, this is more like a fine scotch to be enjoyed. If you are not a tequila fan, or like me, you are a tequila fan, but after that night never again, I suggest you get yourself into a hand crafted bottle of Anejo and see what you have been missing.
my love hate relationship with London
lukeo01 | June 25, 2009I am on my way home from a fantastic Dave Matthews Band concert (more about that later). Its Thursday. I always like Thursday’s as my favourite free magazine The Short List comes out and I am happy reading the Danny Wallace column which is alwasy great. I love London.
I turn the page and see a full title page called ‘Summer Styles’. Oh good. I am going to take a look at what styles are in this summer. Hopefully the new board shorts I have just purchased are there, and the new sunglasses I want are also featured. I turn the page, and I am surprised and angry at what I see. In order: A sports jacket, a pair of long pants and a long sleve shirt are the featured ’summer’ items of clothing for the UK.
I can’t believe that people feel its normal to expect crap weather in summer and feature warm clothing as the trends of the season. I hate London.
Grunting at Wimbeldon…. Biggest news story of the championships
lukeo01 | June 25, 2009Nadal didn’t make it, Sharapova knocked out, Murray holds hope for the Brits. No, these are not the top stories…..
In today’s game of professional tennis playes, the Women’s tennis game has been transformed in the last 5 years. But when the top story of women’s tennis from Wimbeldon is the over exagerated grunting, its time that something is done. I am not suggesting the tennis authorities step in, I suggest every tennis player having a good hard look at themselves, before the next Australian Open has a specific grunting competition. Could you imagine the grunting doubles competiton!
I have heard it myself first hand and it is not very pleasent, and infact I started supporting the person making the least amount of noise. That is what tennis has come to.
I love this story from the Mirror suggesting that a health warning be issued. If you want the top 10 grunters in Women’s tennis click here.
sometimes it all goes wrong
